Tenkaichi Chapter 48 Review

Tenkaichi Chapter 48 Review
Tenkaichi Chapter 48: Where my life begins.

The fight between Jinsuke and Inshun continues, the winner is still not decided.

In this chapter we see that Jinsuke has the upper hand, slashing Inshun over and over again.

I am surprised Inshun is still able to stand, he probably able to mitigate the damage, but he is still clearly on the receiving end.

The fight isn't easy or something for Jinsuke. We see that Jinsuke is sweating and struggling, still bleeding from the damage he received early when Inshun had the upperhand, despite the injuries he manage to surpass Inshun.

Jinsuke admits Inshun is (or was) a legit threat and that he understand Inshun is a prodigy. Jinsuke thanking Inshun for the fight, because it allowed him grow stronger.

From Inshun's point of view we see he is panicing and stressed, unable to comprehend how Jinsuke manage to surpass him. Inshun believed he was unstoppable and at peak of martial arts.

Fuma Kotaro made comment that it could be the limit of an untrained prodigy.

The fight looked so bad, Inshun admits he is going to lose to him. In fact, Inshun certainly would had lost there if not...

The spectator can teach the young Inshun something.

Inshun is still young teen, who has lots of growing potential, physically and mentally, and that he should not surrender. In fact, this is where Inshun's life should start, he cannot throw it away. This is basically what his fellow monk supporter tells him.

It kind of reminds me of Dragonball Super anime, where Vegeta gives a speech to troubled Goku with the fight against Jiren.

Whether you agree with this type of "friendship powerboats" or not, I think we can agree that Inshun has immense potential in him, as he is already the top-tier fighter without any real training.

This high level death match is like his real first training, if he manage to survive and grow stronger.. nobody knows how immensely powerful of a spearman Inshun will become at older age.

We see a moment where Inshun drops a tear... from hearing the word "friends".

Inshun probably treats his fellow monks as weaklings, but the monks treat him as a friend in his most weakest state. This is maybe an important moment for young fighter.. Inshun.

In an imaginary vision, we saw Jinsuke catching up to Inshun's level by building a large mountain made of small pebbles. Now we see Inshun for first time with a pebble in his hand, possible to build his own mountain made of tiny pebbles.

Someone who is already this immensely powerful as Inshun, and this young age... can build a mountain so high that Jinsuke could never ever reach in his lifetime.

This is what makes Inshun dangerous and it is kind of important he doesn't die, and learns his lesson here. For his own sake, his friends.. but also for the viewers who want to see how powerful he can grow.

After the speech and realization, Inshun manage to land a hit on Jinsuke again.

They are both bleeding, nobody lost limbs or something so the fight can still go either way.

Inshun place his first pebble.. it is the start of his own mountain, and I feel like Jinsuke has played all his card, sure he can keep up in theory, and respect for his immense immense and immense hard and difficult training. But if a prodigy trains equally hard, it is over for the genetic less fortunate fighter.

Hardwork is important, but hardwork with good genetics wins. The question is, is it too late for Inshun to realize and train based on the danger he already is in? Or can he turn the tides just in time?

I guess we can learn this in the next chapter...

Incredible interesting manga chapter.
